Actually I cannot see the problem on my computer, but this happened when I tried to share it with other people. I changed the support file search path and also the toolpalette path and I was able to share the palettes by exporting a profile and the saving a folder containing all the palettes on to their system.

I am wondering what is the alternative for CAD palette grouping if we need to share it with other people?

If it is not possible to share the palettes what is the intention of Autodesk to let us be able to share group folders?

"Able to share GROUP folders"
What about you are talking?
Can you sent a link or upload a screenshot of what you talking about?

The alternative to use palette groups is to use different folders for toolpalettes.

You can set one or multiple pathes for toolpalettes.

For example, i want to have 3 groups:
Palette(P)
P1+P2
P1+P2+P3
P3+P4

So i create different folders(F):
F1 with P1+P2
F2 with P3
F3 with P4

Or for each Palette one separate folder.

Now i can switch the Supportpath(es) for my Toolpalette content.
I controle this by Menumacros which changes the supportpathes for the toolpalette.

Here is a <<video>> that shows how to set up the macros and other stuff to set up the toolpaths that cadffm is talking about. It's a long video but a good watch as the guy is entertaining. I'm pretty sure the part I'm talking about is past the halfway point so if you want skip to the middle and start watching it will get you there faster.

I had it set up with the macro shortcuts to switch palettes. The only thing I couldn't figure out is if my tool palette was docked it would take a little longer to load the new palette. If it was undocked it would load instantly. Works amazing besides the docking minor issue. Was also a minor pain to set up on each workstation. Making a notepad file that I shared helped a lot so I could copy and paste the paths.

Why didn`t you try Lisp?

I guess you don`t need to run Macro in that case to copy and paste the path on every computer.

This is what i have been searching for as I am setting up TPs again for the first time in a long time.

EXCEPT.. .for some reason the link you gave is not working for me. Seems to be happening a lot lately.

Is it because its old? surely the resource is still valuable. It would be handy to view that video as a walkthrough to confirm what im planning to do.

THanks in advance to any who help.
