What: AutoCAD 2019 displays "unknown version of autocad detected" when opening.

Why: This is most likely the result of copying over previous settings and files from an earlier version of autocad when installing the product.

How: Click OK and go to the options menu > Profiles tab > Set Current the new 2019 profile to reset all settings that load external files from the previous version of AutoCAD. Close and restart to find the error message has disappeared. Determine the issue file by browsing/adding the external files one at a time in options and restarting until the message appears again.

Can you please show a screenshot from that message?

I guess that is more a message from an external application or an application loaded into AutoCAD then AutoCAD itself.
