Since there are actually no constant attributes, only constant attribute definitions(attdef),

this does not work without program extension.

(_find can only search for Text, MText, Attributes, dim-text overrides, leader and mleader / nested or not.)

If you set the property constant for an attribute definition, then no attributes are created

when inserting block references of the block. The constant attribute definition exists only once in the file,

as does the circle or line in your block.

I have a bunch of blocks on a drawing and I would like to find a subset of those blocks by a searching for a constant attribute with a given value. Though it appears that "Find" does not include constant attribute values in its search.

How can I search for blocks with a constant attribute with a given value.

If you are interested in a custom solution we can help create it for you. But if it's just one drawing the ROI might not be that good.

Thanks for the input. Ive made my own solution to search the BlockTable records.

I've never been keen on the modal nature of the AutoCAD search facility anyway, so this has given me motivation to finally create my own.
