Cursor has short line attached

Please see attached screen capture. My cursor recently comes with a short angled line attached, and the cross hairs are odd lengths and colors. No idea how this came to be, but I would sure like to get rid of it.

please verify:

your visual style is set to "2D Wireframe"
your view is not perspective
you are not at too high coordinates

Command _PLAN option _WORLD ... does it look better then?

As I guess that only happens in a specific drawing you might upload this dwg-file so we can take a look into it.
