Hi,

>> while if I plot directly from the layout I don't have an

>> option to plot all layouts at once

You might look to command _PUBLISH (>>>details<<<) to plot all layouts in one step.

Good day, if I use the Export Pdf function from the drop down menu (from the A icon, top left) I get a pdf output which is of lower quality and about double the file size than by plotting to pdf directly from the drawing itself. The reason why I am asking for help is that the driver and pc3 setup that I am using are exactly the same in the two modes, namely Autocad PDF (High Quality Print).pc3. All the settings I am using are exactly the same. The reason why I want to use Export PDF is that it automatically creates a file with the various layouts (pages), while if I plot directly from the layout I don't have an option to plot all layouts at once, which forces me to plot each and every layout separately and then merge them with a pdf editor.

PLease let me know if you know of a fix or alternatively if you know how to plot all layouts at once with the Plot command.

Much appreciated,

Marco

Thank you for the answer.

I have simplified the drawing to reduce the file size in order to send. Now the strange thing is that the file size is bigger for the pdf generated by the PLOT command. The quality is still better on the file generated by the PLOT command.

But the question remains, why is there a discrepancy in the output format if the same pc3 file and settings are used in the two instances.

Thank you, that works well. I have ticked the box for creating a single file and the file created has the same size and quality has the one created by using the command PLOT and merging the pages.

I was aware of the command _PUBLISH but somehow assumed it would work thought the same internal machinery as the export pdf.

I'm still puzzled by the discrepancy but I need not look any further.

Thanks again!
