If the drawing border is set to 1:1 scale (for A3 paper in your case), simply keep the plot scale to 1:1 in the plot dialog.

You may also try:

change viewport scale to suit as I mentioned before,

if the viewport shows only a portion of the content, you change viewport size by clicking viewport boder then dragging the red dot of viewport corner to suit.

Hope this help.

My English is kinda poor, apologise for that, I am not sure if it is clear enough.

Firstly , my model is on 1:1 scale in model space

And i edited page setup, (chose a layout of A3 paper, and paper scale set to 1:1 )

but when i want to make it in 1:25 on the A3 layout, the model looked so tiny

ps: my model is still 1 : 1 in model space, only changed the scale in the layout space

haii,

go to page setup manager change the scale in to 1:1...

then select the viewport go to viewport properties. in that properties give custom scale value (0.04).

now your viewport automattically takes the 1:25 scale.

now your drawing scale is 1:25

I want to know what's your plot scale on your A3 layout right now

As i think my model still looks a bit off , in 1:20

i drawn it in 1:1 and i think it shouldn't be that big

do i need to change the plot scale in page setup ?

If there's no change , i think your answer doesn't really help 😞

@Anonymous hi,

well this is depend on what units your model space defined? you should define your paper space the same.

this means if your model space is in meters, then you need to define your paper space in meters. than applying a viewport scale of 1/25 will do the job.

see the attached template file

moshe

The proper scale setup in a template and your current drawing file should be

create models in 1:1 scale in modle space all time.

keep drawing border and title block in 1:1 scale in layout (paper space) all time.

create view port(s) with desired scale in layout (e.g. 1:25 in your case).

Hope this helps.
