Don't copy.

Use Save As... to create the drawing copy, then select all and rotate using the Rotate Gizmo in the right direction (over the X-Axis) So you 'old' Z-axis wil now be your new Y-axis.

Edit:

"You already have two drawings.

So don't Save as...

First select all in the drawing you want to Rotate

Then use the Rotate Gizmo to rotate.

After rotation use CTRL+SHIFT+C (Copy with basepoint)

Then CTRL+V (Paste) into the other drawing.

When you have to align the new part, use CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste as block. Easier to move when it exists of several parts."

Hi,

How do I copy a 3D drawing with a TOP view to another drawing but changing to a SIDE view (the view remain the same, meaning changing the X,Y,Z ) ?

Or in another words can I change my 3D drawing X,Y,Z?

ie. The common practice if to draw the object height in Z-direction, but I want to change it to X or Y direction in my current drawing....

Reason being :-

I have 2 drawings. One drawn in TOP view and another drawn in SIDE view, I want to combine both of these drawing into TOP view, but my second drawing does not match the first.....

I hope my description is clear for understanding.
