inserting a drawing border

Hello Everyone

I am using autocad 2018 and I am trying to insert a drawing border with a title block

https://knowledge.autodesk.com says

"click annotate tab sheet panel title border"

My annotate tab does not show a sheet panel?

How do I get it to show sheet panel??

Go to the insert tab, reference panel, attach. You can then attach your TB. See screenshot below.

Hi, Seems you have been waiting a while for a solution.

You wrote that you are using AutoCAD 2018. You also included a link to the main page of the Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN). If you are trying to site a page that had a solution such as you described then you need to provide the actual site link and not the main page of the entire AKN. That is why the first responder (not a fireman) asked for the full link.

That said...

You may have been viewing an AKN solution for another release year or another vertical product, such as AutoCAD Architecture.

Another responder used the abbreviation TB for title block (we sometimes try to be brief in our responses). That response probably assumes you have a title block file or reference that you could attach.

Sounds to me like you do not have a title block and are trying to find one???

Here are some solutions you can try...

Start your drawing with a template file that has borders and title blocks attached as block objects or already setup on the Paper Space layout tabs. There are a few sample templates included in the default install for AutoCAD (some labeled as tutorial and some under sheet sets).
Use copy/paste to source a title block from a sample drawing to your drawing.
Search online for borders title blocks that are somewhat specific to your field (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, etc...).
On the View ribbon click the Tool Palettes to display all palettes in a vertically tabbed palette. The tabs might be small to read but you will find some handy items on the Annotation tab of this palette. There is no full border and title block here but many handy block objects for annotating your drawings.

I'm attaching a few simple templates in a zip file for you to play with.

Once you understand the advice and try a few attempts you can ask more detailed advice.
