How do i combine two solid objects with different angles to make a 90deg corner

Im required to make a corner flashing for a door frame however because of the different angles i cant just use the sweep tool like i normally would to create the desired corner, is there a way of combining the two objects (i have tried to use union and trim it down but i cant get it to work) here are some pictures of what im trying to do.

Subtract would be one method (make a copy first).

I guess (I'm afraid) the video was not yet ready produced at Autodesk's Server. If you would have waited some minutes you would have seen the video also with this link. Sorry, in the future I should wait some minutes until I send my answers (which include a video link) to avoid such confusions.
