default insert of blocks to 1:1 scale

hi all, been inerting blocks that are already in the drawing,

the process has been insert

then choose the block

then point location.

then command line requests scale [1]

how can i tell autocad, i dont want to be asked the scale, its always going to be 1:1, if i want to change it i will say so?

Hi,

As my knowledge when it asking for the point location if we Just click on the screen default insertion scale is 1:1 and block will inserted in 1:1 scale, if you need to scale then only need to select drop down menu, Otherwise that step will be omitted, then why you want to tell AutoCAD to do so?

when you move your mouse it scales out the block, so hitting enter now scales it to whatever scale stretch you have moved your mouse.

That's not how it works. Yes the mouse will scale the block after you pick the insertion point. To get the mouse scale to stick you need to left mouse click. If you hit enter instead of left mouse click then it goes to the default or last set scale in the command line which is 1 unless you changed it.

If you have an attribute in the block it will actually show as the mouse scale after you hit enter, but only until after you hit OK in the attribute dialog pop up then the block will go back to 1 scale.

yes i am aware of the -inset functions, was trying to take one step off the insert function.

FWIW it will save the last value you used in the check box. so if you un-check it , it should be the same every time after that.

If you really want to cut out time when 're-inserting' blocks select the block and the click insertion grip while holding the ctrl key and you can drag a new block where ever you would like.
