plottinfg error

Hi,

"There was an error opening the file

C:\Users\PPA\ appdata\roaming\autodesk\autocad\2017\r21.0\enu\plotters\pmp files\HC To PDF.pmp. The PMP file has been set to None.”

When I go to plot a drawing, I will get an error that it
could not open a PMP file, and that the PMP file has been set to None. I
will get this when I pull up the plot menu, when I preview, and when I plot.
This does not happen in every drawing. It does not matter if I purge and
audit, it still does it. And it doesn't matter what plotter I am using, it
always states the same PMP file. This happened when I got a dwg from a customer.

I tried to deatach the file from properties of the plotter but the option is not active ( see the attachment).

What can I do to solve this and get rid of the message?

PAGESETUP command to change all the PLOT parameters, or INSERT that file into one of your own blank template files and plot away using your own settings.

I found the way how to deal with problem as described in the link:

But I cannot find the missing *pmp file. Do I have to ask the customer to send me the file or I have do create it by my self? I did one by remanimng one of *pmp files, but it is not accepted by AutoCAD.

Ask he file sender to use ETRANSMIT command to send you a new file and all support files that go with it.

In any auto Cad drawing type "stylesmanager" a window will open with all your plot styles (.ctb). Have you tried dropping your .pmp file in there to see if it solves your issue?

Hi,

Among the etransmit files of the project I found a file as printer driver (HC To PDF.pc3). It is the same name of the missing file but has a different extension. I changed the extension to (pmp) and load it the folder of (pmp) files. It is accepted and the problem solved. In the meaning that I don't see this error any more. But frankly saying i don't know if it is a good solution. Any idea? because I do't want to give false solution.
