Missing CTB file !!

Just wondering why ctb file settings are not included/saved within the dwg file ? (or at least a 'copy' of the last used plotstyle settings). I reguarly need to update dwg's and print to pdf again, and constantly the used ctb files are missing (due to dwg's originally created by third parties from which the drawing-creators are unknown to me). Being able to fall back on an embedded backup copy of the settings would save a lot of time.

This can be done if you request the 3rd parties to E-Transmit the drawing rather than sending the base dwg file.
