LINEWEIGHT NOT SHOWING IN LAYOUT SPACE

Hi Everyone,

I'm having real issues trying to get my lineweights to show up in the Layout Space.

I've seen loads of posts on here asking the same question, I've tried all the solutions on here correctly (I think), but nothing seems to have worked.

I'm not hugely experienced with AutoCAD but have been using for around a year and haven't had this problem before!

If anyone could offer some advice I would hugely appreciate it!

Hello @Anonymous,

Please verify the proper layer specs.

Make sure the "Plot" display is not disabled on your layer in the "Layer Properties Manager" dialog box.

Make sure you have "Plot Object Lineweights" checked.

PSLTSCALE off, then REGEN. Might need to do that with the Viewport active.

Hi @Anonymous If you want to see the lineweights on the screen then set LWDISPLAY to ON

Thank you for advice Natasha!

I've just tried everything you've suggested and everything seems to be correct. The first image you posted of the layer properties, mine looks really quite different to yours, I don't have any plot option in there for example? Just so you know I'm using the MAC 2018 version.

The lineweights are showing up in the Model space, but not showing in Layout 1. I've made the lines really thick in the model space just in case it was the scale that wasn't set up right in the layout space, but that hasn't seemed to work either! Really frustrating. I am still learning AutoCad though so it could just be my lack of knowledge.

I will attach the file here, please note the lines look very thick at the moment, they won't be this thick once the issue is sorted.

Please Upload AutoCAD 2013 format

Are you working in inches or in millimeters?????

Zoom up layout space lineweights will show up, Before check marked Display Lineweight (LW)

In Plot Style Table Editor > Edit > Lineweight > you can specify the numerical value of each Lineweight

plot options on the left check to see if 'Plot object lineweights' is selected

CELWEIGHT <-1>

LWDISPLAY <ON>

Hi,

First please try these steps:

Activate Layout 1
make sure you are in paperspace
zoom close to the upper right border of your paper, so you see the first 3 to 4 lines of your legend.
now turn on and off LWDISPLAY ... do you see a difference or not?

That is what I see when switching the LWDISPLAY parameter (left is ON, right is OFF😞

i encounter the same too. so basically what i did is do a new viewport and Line weight appeared like how it should be.
didnt find any solution with regards to all the setting above setup correctly.

I encountered the same problem, and I've been struggling for HOURS on this! Beyond frustrating!!! I came across this post, and tried everything above - to no avail. I had just about concluded that for whatever reason, AutoCAD must be designed to not be user friendly...why have a lineweight option if it's nearly impossible to actually display lineweight in your drawing? Do all of the stars really need to align just to get a line weight printed out? Anyway, I tried your suggestion, and low and behold it worked! Just discard all of the work you've done in whatever layouts, and redo it all, then you can actually get the lineweight to work.
