Your AutoCAD version is...?
Do you need to turn off your running osnaps to see if that is the problem?
Try not to use your mouse right-click for <enter> but use the keyboard key, see if that helps as well.

THEN... if the problem persists walk us through your MOVE command process step by step, your two posts seem to indicate you are not completing something.

@Anonymous wrote:
.... we select an object to move and when we hit return it disapears. ....

That sounds like exactly what would happen if you select an object to Move, give it a base point for the Move displacement, and then hit return. In that case it will take that base point's coordinates to be the displacement. The Command line would say this [note the <default> offering that will be used if you hit Enter]:

Select objects: {Enter to complete selection}
Specify base point or [Displacement] <Displacement>: {did you give it a point here, and then...}
Specify second point or <use first point as displacement>: {...hit Enter here?}

If that's what you did, wherever that point was in relation to the origin is the direction and distance that the object will Move, which will often mean it "disappears," but it should only have Moved outside the viewing area.

If the {Enter to complete selection} above is what you mean by "hit return" after you select an object, and if you really hit it only once at that point in the command, then something else is going on....
