BLOCKS AND XREFS APPEAR FADED AFTER EDITING IN PLACE

I started using 2025 a couple months ago and it's been nothing but wonderful. Until recently is has started a new thing. After editing a block or XREF in place, I save the block or XREF and lines appear to be faded. Similar to what they look like when they are locked. They are normal brightness while editing. It's only afte I save that they fade.

I have checked to make sure nothing has locked. I have also checked transparencies All are unlocked and set to zero..

The only way that I've been able to restore the brightness is to restart AutoCad.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Have you tried upgrading or downgrading you graphics driver?

Have you tried disabling Hardware acceleration?

you can also look into changing your directX version

Objects in drawing look faded or with a transparency in AutoCAD (autodesk.com)

I've tried all of those things... None of the hints I've found in searches have worked thus far... I may go back to 2024 for a bit and see if the problem exists there.

Assuming you’ve already set Gfxdx12 to 0 could you do a screenshot of 2025s GraphicsConfig window and shared that here?

Seems still be using DirectX 12

When GFXDX12 set to 0 the Virtual Device should show DirectX 11

Also try changing 2D Display Settings from Advanced to Intermediate

Not quite: you have to restart the program for it to take effect.

Switching back to DirectX 11 seems to have fixed it.
