Extract Section Lines from Point Cloud odd behavior

When I run the Section Lines command for a point cloud I will often get an undesirable result, which is fine, I can go back into the settings, adjust, and rework some of my variables. The problem is that when I go back into settings my layer information has changed from my initial values. Under 'Output geometry'; Layer changes to a random layer (usually the last alphabetical layer but not always), and the Color field is always changed back to green, regardless of what I previously selected.

I don't understand why some of my inputs would be kept constant while others changed. Its very annoying to have to change the properties each time
