Duplicate definition of block ... ignored. Same Drawing.

Hi,

I have read alot of post about this but none seams to solve my problem.

I use Ctrl+C (or) X and Ctrl+Shift+V often to create Anonymous blocks (A$C.....)

But now i get this message when i try Ctrl+Shift+V: _pasteclip Duplicate definition of block _Oblique ignored.

(In the same drawing). (i have tried diffrent drawings. draw a bunch of lines and try Ctrl+Shift+V, same problem accurs.)

I Have tried to rename _Oblique to _Oblique2. Then i just get the same message with _Oblique2 instead.

I have tried to delete _Oblique. Then i just get the same massege with the next block in line (insert).

I have tried Purge and Audit. But the problem still exist.

This problem accurs on all my drawings, not just one. If the new drawing dont have _Oblique it just take the first ohter block name in the message that exist in the file.

Ignore that message, you paste a block that already exists in your drawing and as you do copy and paste in the same drawing it' the same block, nothing to worry about.

Besides of "A$C..." blocks are not anonymous block, what is the intention to create blocks with a none readable name?

I dont paste a block that already exist. if i draw a bunch of line and mark them and use Ctrl+X and Ctrl+Shift+V it should create a new block that starts with A$C.

I use those A$C blocks for "unique blocks" specific for that drawing i'm in that i never gonna use again in other drawings.

I have done some more research about this and find out that it works like before if I use the Clipboard (Paste as block).

I mark the lines that i want to create to a A$C block and use Ctrl+C or X, then i rightclick and choose Clipboard and then Paste as Block.

But if i use Ctrl+Shift+V insted of going through clipboard (Which is the shortcut for Paste as Block) I get the message: _pasteclip Duplicate definition of block _Oblique ignored.

Interesting. Both methods should work the same way. I use this all of the time myself. Have you customized any of your keyboard commands or key shortcuts? Maybe they are overriding the Windows functions in this way?

No. I have not customized any shortcut in Autocad or Windows.

I Have used Ctrl+Shift+V for many years in Autocad, but this problem suddenly appeared a week ago.

Maybe it can be a windows 10 update?

I don't think it is a Windows 10 issue. I am using Windows 10 and I use this method every day.
