Hello I'm an interior design student and I'm working in details so I always use the command trim but suddenly I faced a problem which it seems like the command is cutting out the line not trimming it so if I want to trim an intersectional line it actually cuts it through parts I tried it in different plans but it still I'm facing the same issue.

Select the Edge option and make sure it set to no extend.
