How could we say it without to know what you have, where is the file?

Really unusual, because you can not set a viewport to ON in modelspace,

if you have this - please upload the file.

Open your file by using command RECOVER, delete other stuff if you like to do this and upload the file so we can check the content.

Viewport in model space

I got a file from someone else. There is a viewport in model space. When I open the file, I am in the viewport of the model space. I don't know how to get out from it. There is also lineworks sitting outside of the viewport in the models space. I could only zoom in/out in the viewport but couldn't do anything for lineworks outside of the VP. Anyone could help? How to convert this drawing to a regular file (every linework is editable in the model space)?

are you talking about tiled view ports (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-3E43911D-0A0F-4900-BE32-5EF846AF36D8-htm.html)

or are you talking about a model space that behaves like a paperspace?

Hi,

go to the Minus symbol in the upper left of your CAD screen and try from there .

This sounds more like you are in a paper space with a viewport activated?

Is this what you are trying to say or are you really seeing this paper space like behavior in model space?
