I got this error sometimes when I save a drawing for the first time. I searched for a solution in the forums but didn't find one. Thanks

Hi,

Please let us know

which version of AutoCAD (exactly, use command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot)?
is that happening with a specific types of files or also new files?
are all files saved on a server or a NAS or local?

You might try:

to work with a different user account, to see if this depends on the AutoCAD profile
disable your antivirus (or that from the drive you are saving to)
run AutoCAD as administrator

There is no fix for "sometimes": so what is different or unusual when that happens? Dig deeper and find a common thread please.

This is the info that I have about the version of Autocad.

Autocad is running on a PC with windows 7, all files are running in the local hard drive. I have a master file that I use as a template. I am posting the version of Autocad that I have. The problem arrive, in random sessions, when I change from model view to layout. Thanks for your help.

Perhaps offtopic: You running an old 2016 version, you should update your program!

Or why do you not update since 4 years?

Check the current graphic driver and test older or newer drivers.
