Combined Text Style, Dim Style, Layer

I am trying to combine the dwg files I created into 1 file.

I did actually but the problem is some dimensions look weird, it seems it can't find the dim style format.

(decimal units and text height changed, and even lines and arrows disappeared)

I am trying to follow the tutorials but I can't copy and paste the styles.

I am using Autocad 2025.

Is there a best way how to export styles from multiple dwgs into 1 dwg?

What if you xref the dwg in and then bind the xref? Do the styles stay then?

I never thought of it as I didn't know xref.. I tried it now and I can choose which area to show which is good. Thank you!

I tried it and noticed that it is not practical for multiple files and the xref files are inconvenient.

It is a good thing but it is not what I am looking for.

Dimensions lose overrides when inserted into another drawing.

Make sure all text and dimension styles have unique descriptive names, if you insert anything with the style named standard from drawing 2 into drawing 1 the style will be changed to the standard style of drawing 1 since 2 different styles cannot have the same name in a single drawing.

Otherwise you're going to be a lot more specific about what went wrong.

Since the xref method does solve your problem, after you’ve bound the xrefs try this lisp function to remove those unwanted prefixes

Thanks for accurately specifying my problem. I will try renaming styles from less commonly used templates on our projects. Thank you
