Publish filesize much larger than plot

Using identical .PC3 and plot settings, I individually plot the 4 layouts in my DWG, then merge them in my PDF software, and I get a 1MB file. If I select the four layouts, and publish them to a single PDF, I get a 12MB file...!!??

It's tedious to plot them separately, but size matters when it comes to files.

Hi,

how big is the PDF of each plotted layout?

When you compare the quality and color depth of the plotted PDF's compared to the merged result, I guess there are differences, but it would be great to see these results.

The Plotted PDFs are very small.
I can't share the files, because confidential.
There is an obvious resolution difference, but I can't figure out why.

In that case I guess the settings (PC3 and/or pagesetup) for _PUBLISH are different to the ones you are using for plotting.

If you can reproduce it with a new file (that does not have any privacy content) then show us this new file.

Otherwise create a copy of that file, delete whatever is confidential, save that file, try to reproduce the issue, if you can reproduce it, upload that file (and whatever is necessary (like referenced raster, -dwg, pc3, ...) for us to get the same result).

If you can't reproduce the big PDF result after deleting some parts then take a look into them! 😉
