Is there a setting I am missing for external references? If I save a drawing and close it with another file open that is referenced to that file it asks me every time if I would like to reload it. Can we just have it load automatically? I don't see a time when I would not want it to reload. Thank you in advance for your answers. I'm using AutoCAD 2020.

Hi,

i'm afraid that you have a conflict in the attached xref path name .

Am I correct that you are using SDI = 1?

Otherwise a drawing would not be closed when you open a second dwg-file.

Yes it is only asking me to reload when I have multiple files open. Then I make a change to the external reference file and tab to one of the open files. is there a setting to automatically load without clicking reload ex ref?
