Title says it all, really. I was given new 4K monitors and new graphics cards for them, but now when I switch from model to paper, or vice versa, it takes an annoying amount of time to load.

Our IT department doesn't know much about Autodesk products other than installing them, so I'm hoping to find an answer here before I start poking around with them.

I'm running 2015 on Windows 7 Pro.

Thanks!

R2015 is not 4k capable: what res are you running exactly? And what did you set in the display settings to get it to look remotely normal?
And with Win7, what video card and driver are you using exactly?
What are the other specs for this oldie PC?

And if I may ask, what problem where you trying to solve with this from-afar-looks-to-be-an unwise expenditure of funds?

Thanks for replying!

I wasn't trying to solve a problem and I didn't waste any money - Our IT head purchased four of these monitors for himself, but they turned out to be too much for him so myself and another drafter each got two of them as "hand-me-downs".

Current res is 2560x1440 and it looks and works fine (4K seems like a bit much). I didn't have to tinker with the display settings for it to look normal. I don't need the super hi-res, but the additional real estate is nice (23" up to 29")

There are two GeForce GT 710 cards, driver version 26.21.14.3136.

Intel Xeon E5-1620

16 GB Physical, 32 GB Virtual memory

Sounds like this delay is simply R2015 not knowing how to handle the higher res (even though it's not maxed out)?

Nice hand-me-downs for sure.

If all worked well before you inherited the video cards, they are likely the culprits. Did you try turning off hardware acceleration to see if things speed back up? They are too new for old R2015 https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware

Driver won't allow it.

We plan to upgrade soon, so since the delay isn't substantial I'll just deal with it for the time being.

Thanks for your help and input!
