Hello everybody,

one of my colleague has such problem.

He got a lot of files to work with. Those drawings was created by another colleague, who does not work in our company any more.

The problem is that my colleague gets such error notification and cannot work with those drawings:

We know that it appears because the server mentioned in the notification does not exist any more. But I don't know why such notification does not appear on my computer and on the computer of my another colleague. What we have is just a time that we need to wait until drawing is available. It is like this notification is hidden or something.

Then I can break all OLE links which are inside the drawing and my colleague can start working.

The problem is that there are 140 files with many OLE links. What I want to do is to make him remove those OLE links by himself, but even thought we reinstall AutoCAD on his computer this notification appears again.

What to do with such problem?

Many thanks in advance.

you may need to check the name of network drive , to match the one in yours . ( drive name match network path )

Not really,

I don't have any K drive, neither him.

This server is not mapped on both computers. Seems to be some AutoCAD settings?

Some update from my side:

I discovered that my colleague had this K drive still mapped even thought it didn't exist. So we remove the connection to this drive and this error notification is not appearing any more. But now we have the second part of the problem: when any of us wants to open any of those files he needs to wait about 2-3 minutes until he is able to start working. This is quite annoying and wasting time. Any suggestion how to fix the problem?

I can remove all data and left only one OLE links. If I left one OLE link AutoCAD opens the drawing very long.

I need to talk with my colleague and ask him what kind of information can be shared outside.
