This is very weird: If I select a GROUP and use command MOCORO, copy option, the new object resulted associated to the original! so it's going apparently to be part of the original group and I don't want to, then if I decide delete the object copied it, the original one will be deleted too!

Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, the copied object will no longer be a group and also it will associated with the original group from which it was copied. In order to dissociate you need to delete the original one.

Instead of GROUP try making the object as block and then use MOCORO, now the object copied will not be associated with the original one and the copied object will still be as a block which would be helpful if in case you wish to modify the original and want to reflect the same where ever its copied.

You are right, is is a (very old) bug in mocoro.

By copying an object,

it always copy the link to the group

but didn't add the new object to the group.

If you like: Open support case to alert this old bug. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/contact-support

BUT: Expresstools are not supported, therefore, the chance of correction is even lower.

This option disassociate the members of the the group, it's more weird because parts of the group can be erased without edit it.

Thanks,

Longtime flaw in MOCORO, you cannot fix it: create / use blocks instead of groups, or find an alternate to MOCORO like grip editing perhaps https://blogs.autodesk.com/autocad/grip-editing-tuesday-tips-seth/
