Units will not change to mm HELP please !!!

Please help I have tried everything and this is so frustrating . I have set my project units to mm.

When I draw I want to draw in mm say example a wall is 4 metres long I always type out 4000mm now I cant I can only write 4. I want to draw a 150mm wall and I have to always type 0.150. This isn't ideal why wont my units change to mm. Please help other computers work why doesn't mine

PLEASE HELP IM DESPERATE HERE

i don't imagine why !!! if you try to offset any lines with 4000mm , is there any issue ? also if you turn off Dynmode ( F12 ) any changes ?

Hi there thank you for your reply when I type in 4000 is 4000 metres so its massive . I have no idea why it wont change 😞 😞

Hi,

Please make sure:

If your drawing units are set to Millimeter you need to enter the values in Millimeter.

If your drawing units are set to Meter, you need to enter the values in Meter.

>> goes to 4000 metres

If your drawing units are set to Millimeter, and you create a line with 4000 length, then the line is 4000mm=4m long.

Why do you think that entering 4000 (units = Millimeter) creates a line with 4000m? How did you check that?

Which page are you referring to? Could it be that you don't have zoomed out so you can see your 4000mm object on the screen?

Hi Alfred my units are definitely set to mm not metres but it keeps drawing in metres.

Attaching an image of someone else's computer you see how it draws in mm , all my settings are to mm but I can't type 402.38 like my colleague can. I have to type 0.402 to get the same exact line as them

Why do you think that the line with 402 as entered length value is Meter or Millimeter (... I don't see any units on the screenshot as AutoCAD does not show them while drawing).

Create a new drawing, set the units to Millimeter, draw a line with 4000 ... why do you think that this line is 4000m?

Things to remind :

in your OP , Millimeters in your attached image indicates for units to scale when inserted to your current opening drawing .
to check your drawing units you have to check it from -DWGUNITS command ( Notice the – prefix ) , from this command you can check your real drawing units .
