What industry are you in? Across "sheets" tags and labeling is a feature in most vertical versions of AutoCAD and higher end software like REVIT, but plain AutoCAD is not geared towards that ability.

Hello All,

I am creating section marks throughout different drawings in a sheet set. I would like to link the text of these dwgs so that if one is changed, they all change. I know that you can link text via fields within a single dwg, but I don't think you can link txt in one dwg to txt in another.

I was also thinking it might be best to create a table with all section mark data, and then pull the data for the fields from there. But again, it doesn't seem that autocad will let you pull information from other sheets.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
