I have the student version and have been trying to follow Lynda.com tutorials on how to actually use Autocad but it is litterally impossible. The version used in the tutorial is not exactly the same as the student version and because of that I can't follow the tutorial and learn how to use this software. Please help me.

Hi,

Are you using the Mac version of AutoCAD? If so you will find very little training content available.

Autodesk has been providing a Mac version for a few years but it is not the same as the version produced for the Windows O.S.

The student version is the same as the regular version of the same release.

Are you using the same release as the tutorials?

Hope he is, The Lynda's are usually pretty up-to-date, but the one's from the Autodesk Design Academy are 2011 version. Still probably match ACAD 2019/2020 for Windows better than any Mac version.
