I'm having an issue with a cad block of a person that I've brought into my autocad drawing.

The block is not exploded and it's on the correct layer and the layer is on.

When I change the lineweight colour of the block to grey (08) and export the drawing to pdf the cad block disappeared.

I've uploaded two images. The exported pdf and the plot preview page.

Is there any way around this? You can see also my cad block of a chair in the corner has also disappeared in the pdf.

It's driving me demented!

The "people" aren't disappearing, they are there, just "ghostly"

Something to check- open the resulting pdf on a different PC or just a different monitor, could be color/contrast/brightness/gamma settings on the monitor itself are causing apparent fade-out in that grey range....

What pdf driver are you using?

Are you using "plot" or "export to pdf"? Try plotting to one of the built-in pdf drivers, if it still doesn't work, can you post the dwg file and the "faulty" pdf?

@Anonymous

You need to look at the entity within the block. What layer and color is it?

If you draw a line on same layer/color, does it plot like that?

Anything 3d going on?

those pics don't help much unfortunately.

Hey @Anonymous

Quick question, what layer was the block drawn in? Is it layer 0? Whenever you import a block, it actually assumes the layer that's active if the block was drawn on layer 0.

Do other objects that have the 08 colour plot? Does your plot style plot layer 08?
