Use command for DIMLFAC

Hi every body!

I change from A2 to A3 and kept Dimension with Scale 0.5 i use command DIMLFAC=2

Then i check it by method type: DIM/ENTER ---> Result: OK

But when i use bottom in tool bar will be have a different result

Why have that different ?

( Ver: AutoCAD Mechanical 2019 )

you can try DIMASSOC set 0 or 1.

From a picture we can not check

that you worked the right (mechanical) way

and we can't check what you did for "I change from A2 to A3".

You posted in Autocad forum, but you talk about mechanical, i am not sure if you use Mechanical functions or not.

Sample DWG (before you switch from A2 to A3) available?

And which steps to switch from A2 to A3?

Normally i say: Let Mechanical controle the DIMLFAC, it isn't your job.

This problem between to method TYPE COMMAND vs BOTTOM COMMAND( same in function) but give 2 results.

May be another person check your drawing will be say: wrong scale!

I like to help, but for the best help i need to know your model and setting..

Without that, the answer is simple:

DIM is NOT THE SAME COMMAND as the Button from the RIBBON (not toolbar) starts.

One is InternetYoutubeInstagramKiddi-AutoCAD command [Command: DIM]

(other users in AUTOCAD would like to start the original commands like _DIMLINEAR for example),

the other one is an MECHANICAL command, this command considers the scale-settings and scale-areas

in mechanical files. (AMOPTIONS / AMTITLE / AMSCAREA - ever heard before // sorry, but i didn't know about you)

In this case, cour Scale setting is wrong (AMTITLE or AMOPTION)

or there is a scale-area with the wrong scale.

Are you new in Mechanical?

Without knowing your level of knowledge and without the DWG it is difficult
maybe someone else will help, I'm out.

Then I wish you all the best and do not give you the tip MECHanical from Youtube to learn
but with a good book and if possible with a course. Course and books/tutorial specially for MECH

if you like to learn Mechanical and not AutoCAD.

(I do not know me Mechanical either, only with plain ACAD 😉 )
