Recently, I have been editing drawings and when exporting the document to print or to PDF there are some of the drawing lines are missing and other lines have gone extremely bold.

I have tried different things by increasing the lines merging etc. which I have found on previous forums but nothing has made a difference.

I have sent two screenshots,

1. What it is meant to look like which is on layout screen

2. What the drawing is like when I export to PDF or go to print I have circled the errors of what I can't overcome.

It looks like you have lineweights turned on, not much else. Why not use PLOT command for more control and see what you acually have turned on that should not be, or double-check your plot style table that is adding lineweights that you do not want.

That looks like a linetype issue, not a "break": that can also be set in your plot style table or in your file.
