I have created a drawing that represents services across a large number of sites. The XREF contains polylines that I generated from SHP files in many cases where I have included the attributes (eg material, diameter, etc).

I have the the Services file as an XREF in a design drawing, generally showing only as lines. Occasionally I would like be able to look at the attributes. Is there some way to quickly determine the properties of a polyline in an XREF without having to go into the file separately?

Hi,

>> contains polylines that I generated from SHP files in many

>> cases where I have included the attributes (eg material, diameter, etc)

Polylines can't have attributes in plain AutoCAD (Vanilla) ... are you referring to Map 3D (or Civil 3D) and it's function of "object data"?

Hi Alfred, you are correct. I am actually using Civil 3D, but I "Run as AutoCAD" due to stability issues so I thought it must be a vanilla AutoCAD command. Apologies for the confusion

Doesn't seem like this answers the question. XLIST only displays Object Type, Layer, Color and Linetype.

No, or yes.

The thread posted in the wrong forum (Autocad instead C3D)

and nobody added an answer for C3D stuff.

a) Nobody whos read the thread knows a way

b) Perhaps there is no way to do it

Alfred is a good C3D Userand i am sure he would had answer it, if there is a native way.
