AutoCAD 2020 - "Invalid" when inserting block

Hello,

There is a "standards" block that my company inserts into most projects at the start, which includes numerous layers, linetypes, blocks, etc. that we frequently use. I noticed that after making the switch to AutoCAD 2020, I get an "Invalid" message every time I go to insert our "standards" block. The block inserts just fine in AutoCAD 2018 and previous versions. I have tried opening the standards and saving them from AutoCAD 2020, but still get the Invalid message when trying to insert. I have this issue using either the classicinsert command or new insert command. I have all available updates installed, including 2020.1.1 that was released today (11/7/19).

I have not installed the "Block Hotfix" because I assume that this would have already been pushed through in one of the service pack updates.

My current work around is to insert the standards block in AutoCAD 2018, save and close the file, and then open it and continue to work in AutoCAD 2020. I have no issues inserting blocks that are embedded in the standards block in AutoCAD 2020, but cannot seem to insert the standards block itself. Obviously, this is frustrating, so I am looking for a little input on how I might be able to resolve this issue with inserting blocks in AutoCAD 2020.

Thanks in advance!

Is it a problem since 2020 or since 2020.1.1 ?

If since 2020.1.1 =

Autodesk removed this Upload quickly before the users were informed about the appearance,

perhaps there is a bug inside. DEinstall the 2020.1.1, go back to 2020.1 and test it again.

I ran recover on the file and there were 0 errors found/fixed and 0 objects erased. After running recover, I still receive the "invalid" message when trying to insert the block. It has been an issue ever since installing AutoCAD 2020, and I do not think it was caused by the most current update.

oh STOP,

AutoTURN? Thats not plain AutoCAD.. So you can test this way:

Start AutoCAD by this way:

[CTRL]+[R]

Open: "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2020\acad.exe" /product ACAD /safemode

Test it again.

When I open AutoCAD, even if safe mode, the AutoTurn ribbon is always displayed, but the program is not launched until I navigate to that tab on the ribbon and click one of the AutoTurn functions. I still received the invalid error after trying to insert from the safe start up.

HOWEVER, I did notice that multiple strings of text imply that AutoCAD is trying to load AECC objects when trying to insert the block before it spits out the Invalid message (please see attached). I tried inserting the block into Civil3D 2020, and it inserted with no issue. So, this leads me to believe that there is something embedded in the block that is not playing nicely with AutoCAD 2020, even though it has no issues being inserted in AutoCAD 2018. I already have the Civil3D 2020 object enabler installed, but I tempted to try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if this could solve the issue.

Certainly still open to recommendations!

I figured it out! It was an issue with the object enabler. I had an older version installed, which for some reason wasn't getting flagged for updates. I uninstalled it and installed the most current, and can now insert the block without issue. Thanks for the help!

DDINSERT?

Are all C3D DWG files the same exact dwg-year format? 2018DWG for example.

That list is simply informing you of duplicate content that is going to be ignored: as you know (or not), content in your file with the same name has preference/stays as is if you bring in the same named content from another file.

As a test, only a test, do the reverse (insert your file into your source block) and see what the issue may come up.
