dug out my (,long retired) 2004 software for a simple drawing; was doing OK until I made a new layer with color yellow. Now every entry, regardless of Layer, shows yellow. . Tried to delete the new layer but it won;t go away -No blocks or xref's involved. With all layers but the new one turned OFF, have searched for any entries made on the new layer but find none. I'm using Win7; wonder if the problem could be incompatibility between Vers. 2004 and Win 7? Would appreciate any ideas to try! Thanks, RLH

Hi,

Actually you didn't create a new layer, you just changed the color of the layer to yellow and have been changing to different layer and drawing things and the color is still set to yellow. Try changing it "BYLAYER" from the drop down as seen from the screenshot.

To create a new layer open up the layer mananger, command "LA" and start creating new layers.
