topic Dynamic table linked to polyline area in AutoCAD Forum

How would I go about creating a simple table with an area calculation, linked with a collection of polylines?
I'm creating gully areas of drainage. Normally I would just do it manually, but this is a large site. How would I connect each closed polyline to a table which measures the area, so if I ever have to change one polyline, the table would update?
Would this be the drawing field function? If so, can someone explain it to me?

Thanks

This is dynamic. I'm assuming this lisp routine is not dynamic?
