I need to scale my work from Arch D paper size to 11x17 paper size. I can scale my work in model space down with no problem, But anything in paper space such as dimensions gets messed up. Is there a way to scale both model and paper space together?

You should always draw everything full scale in MS and then you can decide your paper size and viewport scale in your layout. In your case you could have one layout at 36X24 and another one at 17X11. Nothing would change in MS, and presuming you're using annotative dimensions, text, etc., all of that will scale automatically. The only thing you will have to do is fine-tune the position of the the annotation/dimensions.

If you were using ANSI D (34x22), then 17x11 is exactly 50% of the size and you could just print 1/2 sized sheets, but with ARCH D, you'd have to go with 18x12 to be exactly half scale.

I think the work around is to turn the PS text and dims into a block before you do the scaling.

If you are working between the two spaces, spacetras may help you get where you want to go. It is a utility command specifically used to transfer objects between the spaces and match the scale as requred.

-Tim

I did not know changing to annotative would fix the dim changing size when objects were scaled. THANK YOU. Good Stuff.

-Tim
