Good afternoon, hope everyone is doing well today. Recently I added an image into Autocad by going to insert, attach, and then selecting my image from desktop. My picture imported fine, but when I deleted the image from desktop, it also deleted from my auto-cad file. How can I "import" an image into my Auto-cad (similar importing image into word document), and maintain the image in my dwg file even after I delete image from my desktop?

You can see the error I receive in the picture attached.

Thanks!!!!!

Thanks man, it worked for me.

Summary of video:

1) Right click your image file, click edit

2) Ctrl + A to select all, then Ctrl + C to copy

3) Go to Autocad, go to clipboard section, hit the dropdown menu under paste, hit paste special

4) Another box opens, I had "paste" option selected, and "paintbrush picture", then I hit "okay"

5) click anywhere to place your image

Thanks again, have a great day!
