Can`t copy/paste layer

Hello,

I am trying to copy some objects from one drawing to another. Тhe objects are copied but not the layers they are into.

I am currently working on AutoCAD 2014.

So you draw a line on layer "A" ... then you use copy & paste to copy the line into a new drawing ... which layer does this line now is assigned to?

And to clear up some things:

The message you showed in your first post appears when exactly?

Are you now using AutoCAD 2014 or AutoCAD Mechanical 2014?

Your posted screenshot says your 2014 file was last opened in 2018 or newer and got saved there: this makes all AEC content out of reach to your older 2014MECH variant forever.

Did you (or someone) take the file home to work on in 2018 or newer?
