why "as autocad entities" if the intent i to link (aka maintain a connection) is what you wrote you wanted?

Hi,

I am trying to input an excel graph using

I am trying to add a table in with datalinks so that when we update the graphs they will automatically update.

This has been done before with other graphs but it isn't working for me anymore.

1. Select what you wish to link within Excel by highlighting Rows & Columns > Rt. Click > Copy.

2. In Civil 3D, Home Tab of Ribbon . Clipboard Panel . Paste Special > Paste Link > As: Autocad Entities.

Once I get to the end of the 2nd step it does not have anything to insert.

I am using Autodesk Civil 3D 2019 metric.

I have used the technique before with other dwgs. What would happen was I would input new data to the spreadsheet and save, and when I opened the DWG, the graphs would reflect the additional data in the graphs with no extra steps.

The above is what I want.

The graphs will remain in a file, with data added over years and presented monthly to show changes.

I tried all of these and did not work. The link you have has a solution, which is the way I normally do the datalink, however when I complete step 2, there is nothing that I can insert. Autocad does not come up with an error, it says it has completed the task but there is nothing there at my cursor and it hasn't inserted it randomly either.

Thanks
