&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#333399"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; without changing the hatch as well&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;No, you can't define different transparent values for the hatch lines and the hatch background.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I would suggest to create 2 hatches, one with pattern "SOLID" and your transparency value and a second with lines or what ever you have a primary hatch.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As hatches are able to follow the base geometry (if associative is on) you should not have issues when the geometry gets modified, you only need to make sure that the draworder is updated so the solid hatch is behind your line hatch.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;since you want to change the Transparency for the background hatch ( Red , 84 ) i suggest ( for printing issues ) to edit and reduce the &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;U&gt;Screening&lt;/U&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;in your plot style for those two color .&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;Yes ... for that you may need to select a unique certain color for those transparencies&amp;nbsp;hatch .&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
