automate the view ports

I am working on a furniture shop drawing and all the plans elevations and details are drawn on single cad file . Can i select simply the drawing areas (elevation,plan,details etc...) on model space and auto generate the selected areas on view port with scale .

If there was a way it would be great but I haven't seen one done.

Are you talking about automating the Insert View command that is built-in to AutoCAD or are you unaware of the ability of AutoCAD to insert named views in the Layout? Create named views in MS, in PS under the Layout tab you can Insert Views, pick a name and it will insert the view at the scale it was created at in MS. You can, of course, adjust the scale at that point since it is just a regular viewport.

Thanks for your response... I am aware of layout tab settings.However i am looking for something different command.

I would like to select the areas quickly from model tab and whatever selected areas should be automatically arranged on layouts with proper scale.

my idea : in order to get the arrangements on layout .. i will select the drawing area on model space in below sequence.

1.plan

2.elevation

3. section

4.details -1

5.details-2

6.details-3

7.details-4 etc.....

also would like to do following:

1.once all layouts are set , i wants to change the layout outlines to dotted line to define the clear boundaries of each drawings/layout.

2.Also the details tag indications,elevations and sections indication with cross lines and title with scale text should show with simple commant or should automate along with layout generation.

I dont thing so, such a command is existing in cad. However some one can develop i am ready to pay...

Which one? [The person you Replied to did not post any routine.]

And "won't work" is never enough information. Does it fail to load? Does it load but not recognize the command name? Does it recognize the command name but not do anything at all? Does it do something different from what you expect? Does it do something you expect, but not everything? How far does it get? Are there any messages? Etc., etc., etc.
