Display non-numeral (next/previous) layout by using ctab and field expression

Hi,

I am creating a next and previous page number based on the layout name by using the field expression and the ctab.

If the layout is a number, the next (ctab+1) and previous (ctab-1) layout, the field expression is working fine.

However, the layout is a character or alphabet, the field expression doesn't recognize it and display as "###". May I know is there anyway to display the next and previous layout?

Not with fields, you may use any AutoCAD API to write a small tool that fills out a text or attribute with the name of the layout before and next.

(you might look for "list of layouts" in the LISP forum >>>click<<<).
