The easiest method would be to use Civil 3d. Autocad does not have any built-in functionality for this. There may be some 3rd party apps that can do similar tasks in the Autodesk App Store.

If you were to consider third party add-ons, DotSoft's GeoLocationPlus will import a Lat/Long file into a properly defined drawing on a known coordinate system. You would simply save your spreadsheet to a CSV file first. Then simply choose your block and attributes or the tool will build one for you.

AutoCAD GeoLocation Voodoo Warning: If you used the plain AutoCAD GeoLocation tool, picked a point and typed in a lat/long to get started, you DO NOT HAVE A VALID GEOLOCATED DRAWING and this tool will not generate accurate results !!! Please post a portion of your drawing (and spreadsheet) for testing first.

If you simply want to insert your Lat/Long points onto a map for viewing or printing, you can IMPORT them into Google Earth Pro. Don't confuse Google Earth Pro with Google maps that you open in your browser, GE Pro is a stand alone program. Google Earth Pro can be downloaded at no cost. To save your points, right-click your points in the Places panel on left then perform a Save As in kml or kmz format.

To insert your Lat/Long points can do this:

Open your Excel file and perform a Save As. Select option CSV (Comma delmited) (*.csv)

From Google Earth Pro go to file=>Import=>browse to and select your csv=>Open

In Data Import Wizard page 1, select DELIMITED, select COMMA. Click Next.

On page 2, use dropdown arrows to select which column contains Lat and which column contains Long=>Next.

On page 3, keep the default values=>click Finish.

Apply style template?=>Yes

Create new template?=>Yes

In Set name field=>use dropdown arrow=>select your TEXT label=>OK (Color, icon and height are all optional.)

Image-1

Image-2

Image-3

Image-4.

Image-5

Image-6

Image-7

Image-8.
