Apologies I may be incorrect. I believe the osnap is an intersection snap, not a node snap (the snap emblem shown when it snaps is a little green cross). I already have node snap turned off. Intersection snap is very useful so I would like to keep it on but is there any way I can modify the intersection snap so that it does not snap to the corners of the multiline text box?

When I am trying to move or copy something near a multiline text, the object seems to intersection snap to the nearest corner of multiline text. How do I stop this from happening, I see no use in snapping to the corner of the multiline text? I have tried using OSNAPNODELEGACY and this did not stop my problem from occuring. Please help.

Hi,

I think you are confused with NODE and INTERSECTION. Its actually the NODE snap which is not letting you to move /copy the object near to the MTEXT. Try turning off NODE snap from OSNAP.

"CADffm: <STRIKE>Intersection, not BASEPOINT/INSERTIONpoint and not NODE ?</STRIKE>

I forgot to draw another line, so there wasn't an intersection situation, lol.

You are right and every MText will show this "problem". (I never had a problem with this fact.)

Sorry, i think there is no option to disable this.

Found this post while fighting with ACad on this issue. I have searched and dug through settings to try and figure it out, to no avail. But I did find some interesting info, it seems to be related to the mtext columns or something. NOT anything to do with Node. See my reply here:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/text-snap-in-2016/m-p/13440221/highlight/true#M1152399
