This works on mine, AutoCAD 2020. Is there something unique about this dimension? Can you post a shot of the dimension, and your Properties window?

I am trying to change the fit of one dimension without changing the overall dimension style. When I go to the properties manager, the drop down to change the fit is grayed out. Any suggestions?

It's not greyed out for me, either, but once you deal with that, to do the above request:

Command: DIMOVERRIDE

Enter dimension variable name to override or [Clear overrides]: DIMATFIT
Enter new value for dimension variable <1>: 3 {or whatever value}

Enter dimension variable name to override: {Enter -- done with naming variables}

Select objects: {picked a Dimension} 1 found

Select objects: {Enter to complete selection}
