Open .obj file in Autocad

Hi,

I know there is NO way to open .obj file in Autocad directly but is there any FREE plug ins that I can use?

I tried this from recommendation on other post:

But it didn't work.

It's surprising that CAD 2020 still doesn't have this feature while PAY plug ins are available.

Autodesk considers themselves as the king of the hill, meaning you bring DWG or DXF to the table or don't play. In their defense, DWG is king, so why should they worry about writing translators?

I have already searched a google over 2 hours and have NOT found a solution that is works.

I also can't upload file to 3rd party server.

This post was created to see if someone had the same issues and how did they resolve it. For example name of Plug in or Method,

I do appreciate the input but referencing to Google helps little or NONE, I assume most of us or even all of us try to resolve the issues on our own before asking others for help,

Simply because subscription is $1000+ a year.

And I have not seen much in return value.

Updates mostly address the bugs that shouldn't be there if proper methods are used during the development(at least NOT that many)

.obj is very common format, if plug in is available, I see No reason why CAD can't have it with subscription. If it would be my decision I would discontinue to use CAD in general but unfortunately this is NOT up to me to decide.
