How to add an item to a rectangular array

Hi all

How do you add an item to an already existing rectangular array?

I can't find where it is in arrayedit, if it is there at all.

After you have created the array of the object (with associative= Yes) and ended the array command, then you can select the object and click on "Edit source".

you can add to the source CAD element by Source option . also if you press and hold the Ctrl key, and then select the items in the array you can MOVE or ERASE those items .

Command: ARRAYEDIT
Select array:
Enter an option [Source/REPlace/Base point/Rows/Columns/Levels/RESet/eXit] <eXit>:

I am talking about adding in an item that is not part of the array already, ie it is filtered out.

I think I have worked it out. Do a copy with base point and copy the object you want to add to the array first,

before invoking the edit array command, then while in the edit source do a paste to original coordinates,

then close and save, the object is added to the array.

I was hoping there was an easier way, like inventor where, while you are editing the block, you can just click

on the greyed out/filtered out object and it will be added to the existng array.

I must go now, my lunchtime is ended. Will come back again, tonight from home

Select the geometry you want to add. Cut (Ctrl-X) it. Edit Source of the array. Paste (Ctrl-V) it. Move it exactly where you want. Save changes.
