sheet set custom properties

is there a way to set a custom sheet set property with just the "default value" and not the "name".

i am going to have scopes of work in multiple sheets but want to have the numbers (value) in sequential order from one sheet to the next with the ability to add/change value numbers

example shown is just for the first 2 sheet of 6

sheet one (A1-A8)

sheet 2 (B1-B2)

the problem i for see is adding or deleting any scopes in the middle of the set and having "a8" (name) with a value that is not (8) and the confusion down the set as more changes happen

I'm not sure I understand the description of (scopes). Based on the picture it would looks as though your wanting to number your sheets along side your sht num. I've added a page number assigned to sheets and a total page count assigned to sheet set. Notice that pg-num is blank by default. Again, I was scratching my head trying to figure out your post so I mat be way off but hope this is helpful.

scope of work is just a list of what work is to be completed (see attached of example)

i am going to have 6 sheets total

sheet one will have scope items 1-8 and sheet two will have items 9 & 10 and sheet three will have items 11-17 and so forth.

im trying to find a better way than using the sheet set custom properties.

i know in the end there will be changes and the "name" (A3) will not match the "value" ( scope item 3)

Hey @Anonymous

Why not assign the "scope of work" a letter and the "multiple sheets" a number? This way, your first sheet would have "A1, A2... A8" then sheet 2 will have "B9, B10..."

The way I know AutoCAD "sees" this is that the first letter is the first column of numbers, then the second letter the second column and so forth. So for example no. 1 & 12, "1" is the first column (from left) and in "12" one is the first column, then two the second column (from left)

Based on the pics I'm not sure I would be using the sheet set manager either. I would suggest dataextraction to manage that information. You would have an automatic update for sheets with scope items. Your tag could be a block with several attributes or you could use Multileaders with a custom block. Use layering to separate your blocks by sheet and then it's pretty much hands off.
