topic Data Extraction Template Disappearing in AutoCAD Forum

Hello all,

I've made a few different templates for data extraction for my company. Everything works perfectly on my computer, and I have the files stored on our network. The problem is whenever the other engineers try to us the DX command and select my template as either editing an existing or creating a new extraction from a template, the templates I've made don't show up. But when going through the file explorer all the templates show up.

Not sure if I'm missing a setting or the right way of transferring templates. If anyone has advice on what to do, please help. And I know this might just be something happening on AutoCAD's end, but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance!

Have you added the path(s) to the template(s) in Options, Files, Support File Search Path, or (maybe) in Data Sources Location?

Sorry for the late response, I've been out of office for a few days.

But thank you for the call out and I think this is the issue. I did not realize that the file format had changed from DXE to DXEX. Hopefully we can get all of out systems up to date and have this working, if not I'll have to explore the other options on this thread. Thank you all for the insight!
